Have Fun While Black Singles Dating Washington DC

There are so many great ways to meet people of the opposite sex through Black Singles Dating Washington DC. Besides the hundreds of matching websites, there are also several social networking sites in my area that have great events for ways black men and women can meet. I am not black but am very attracted to black men and have always dated them. My family is very opposed to this and has practically shut me out of their lives. I keep telling them we're in the 21st century but they don't seem to care. They're just racist.

I started dating black men in college. I grew up in a very rural area where there was no opportunity to meet black men unless you went into the city which I rarely ever did. My first boyfriend in college was black and we dated for three years. Ironically, it was his family that had the problem with him dating a white woman and that ended our relationship.

When I moved to the DC area for a job change I didn't have a boyfriend and was quite lonely. It was just me and my three dogs eating dinner and watching TV together after I got home from work. I didn't have any friends besides my co-workers so I decided to check out this Black Singles Dating Washington DC social networking site called Professionals in the City. Their website was impressive, they have over 200,000 members in the DC area, and hold over 1,000 events a year.

They held many events specifically for black singles, such as speed dating, rotating dinners, happy hour mixers, and also outdoor events like rock climbing, white water rafting, and even trips abroad. I signed up for several events and while I didn't click immediately with someone at the first one I attended, I kept trying. Eventually met several nice men that I dated. Some of the events I attended were not strictly for blacks and surprisingly there were a lot of black men there.

After almost a year of attending events I met a man that I clicked with and we have been dating exclusively for months. I imagine us taking things to the next level and moving in together soon. If it weren't for Black Singles Dating Washington DC, I know I wouldn't be where I am today.
